LPC is a missional church. We are part of God’s mission to the world faithfully proclaiming the gospel through word and deed. How the gospel is embodied in our community and service is as important as what we say. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to bear the life of Jesus into the world and we do so by supporting ministries and missions in Jerusalem – locally, Judea and Samaria – nationally and to the ends of the world – internationally. Our goal is to support mission with our treasure, our time and our talents. We desire to have every member experience the joy of being sent into the world – whether it is the world next door or the world of a different place, culture or language.
For 2013 we have selected two mission focus projects for special emphasis:
LPC provides financial support to fourteen different agencies and causes based on criteria set by the Mission Committee. The mission projects reflect the love of Christ in word and deed and, wherever possible, allow for direct or indirect participation by LPC members and friends. Two these causes, Promised Land Ministries in Guatemala and Hunting Park Christian Academy in Philadelphia, are our current mission focus projects.
Mission opportunities provide a means for direct participation in our mission work by LPC members and friends. Opportunities range from short term international and domestic mission trips to scheduled or occasional work through a number of our Bucks County projects.
