What We Believe
I have been crucified with Christ.
It is no longer I who live
but Christ who lives in me. -Galatians 2:20
Congregational Mission
Statement
" By the grace of God, we are part of God's family, forgiven and
loved in Jesus Christ. As Jesus taught, our mission is to love
God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbors
as ourselves. This we do as the Holy Spirit transforms us through worship,
prayer and study of the Bible. So empowered, we bear the life of Jesus
into the world: encouraging each other to practice our faith daily and
reaching out to meet the physical and spiritual needs of all."
[adopted April 15, 1996]
As
a church family, our desire is to grow in love, faith, and service to
our Lord Jesus Christ and to be a lighthouse in the community - we want
to share the life and love of Jesus.
A full and historical exposition of church
doctrine may be found in the Presbyterian Book of Confessions. A shorter,
contemporary "Brief Statement of Faith" is available through
the Church office. As Christians, we acknowledge the Holy Bible to be
our ultimate written authority.
