Are You New?

If you are considering visiting Langhorne Presbyterian Church, you will be welcome! You may have some questions about what's involved on Sunday mornings.  We hope these answers below are helpful, and if you would like to know more, call the church office at 215 752-3200.

What time should I come?

During the school year (September through mid-June) there are three Sunday morning services.

8:30 a.m. Chapel Worship - Traditional hymns and the proclamation of the Word in our historic chapel

9:45 a.m. Sanctuary Worship - a blend of old and new, formal and informal. Children and youth to Sunday School after the children's sermon. Nursery care provided

11:30 a.m. Sanctuary Worship - Sermon with contemporary songs and older hymns set to newer arrangements. Nursery care provided.

In the summer months, the Sunday morning schedule changes. Times and service information is provided in late spring and on the worship page.

From September – May, nursery care is provided at both the 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 services for children up to age 3. At the second service (9:45 a.m.) children older than 3 years sit with their families. Early in the service, children are invited forward to the steps of the sanctuary for a children's message. Following this time, they go to their own Sunday morning classes. Parents or other family members pick up their children from classes and the nursery following worship.

Other than the nursery, there are no programs for children during the 11:30 service.

Where do I park?

There are two parking lots. The bigger, main lot is next to the church building. The second, smaller lot is across the street. Choose either.

There are steps to the entrance area, and again, more steps into the sanctuary. For disabled access, there is a ramp to the left of the main staircase, which is to the left of the big parking lot, facing Gillam Avenue. Once inside, an elevator provides access to the sanctuary level as well as down to Fellowship Hall (the basement).

What should I wear?

On Sunday mornings, you may see men in dress shirt and tie, as well as jeans and tee shirts.  Women wear pants, jeans or heels and a dress.

Where are you located?

We are at 125 East Gillam Avenue in Langhorne, just off of 413/S. Pine, near Highway 1.
