The Gospel proclaimed in Word and Deed
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." - Acts 1:8
LPC is passionate about mission. We are a church of mission programs and mission people. Our mission programs touch lives here in Buck County, the greater Philadelphia area, and all the way to the end of the earth. From the Bucks County Jail to Hunting Park in North Philadelphia, Burundi to Brazil, Guatemala to our Deacons Food Pantry, we make a difference working together. And we are in mission as the people of the church witnessing in word and deed in our work places, schools, neighborhoods and families.
LPC Mission Committee
Mission at LPC is both making Christ known and serving in Christ’s name. We seek to faithfully proclaim the gospel through word and deed, in person when we can as well as supporting others who do. As in Acts 1:8, members and friends of LPC carry out this mission by supporting ministries, programs and mission projects locally (Jerusalem), regionally (Judea and Samaria) and internationally (to the ends of the earth).
Through the work of the Mission Committee, LPC supports a number of different agencies and causes that reflect the love of Christ in word and deed, and when possible, provide opportunities for direct and indirect involvement by members and friends of LPC.
Three of these projects receive particular focus and support from LPC. Read more about LPC's support of these projects:
- Promised Land Ministries in Guatemala
- Hunting Park Christian Academy in North Philadelphia
- Dr. John Cropsey and Hope Kibuye medical mission in Burundi
The following projects are supported financially through the LPC Mission budget. Italic text describes how you can contribute or serve directly. For more information call the church office or contact Lee Thomas, Mission Committee chair.
