- What is Prayer?
Prayer is an offering up of our desires unto God, for things agreeable to his will, in the name of Christ, with confession of our sins, and thankful acknowledgement of his mercies.
98.5 How is prayer made effectual for salvation?
The Spirit of God helps us by faith to lift up our hearts, minds, and souls to God our Father; coming to him in the name of Christ, and thereby effectually growing us in our communion with him.
