Two New Faith Acts Classes
NEW FAITH ACTS CLASSES:
Two new adult Faith Acts offerings are being offered Thursday evenings at 6:15 p.m. Both Classes begin March 14 and continue until April 11.
Across the Great Divide: Communicating with one another in divisive times.
We live in contentious times. Our politics are divisive, differences over cultural issues seem irresolvable, churches split over things big and small. What’s at stake can be very important, but our inability to communicate across our various divides makes the “common good” even more difficult to achieve. What does the Bible, with its strong insistence on non-negotiable truth, have to say about talking across the great divide? In this class we will listen as the Bible speaks to us and engage in conversations across some of our divides. Pastor Bill Teague will lead.
The Book of Acts
The last time Jesus’ disciples saw Him, He told them “…you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 ESV) They probably couldn’t begin to imagine how that would play out in their lives and the lives of those around them! Fortunately for us, much of what happened next was recorded in the book of Acts. Join Holly Lazzaro to take an exciting journey through the book of Acts, specifically focusing on passages that show the unstoppable progress of the gospel, intelligent defense of the faith, and the potential of the church when empowered by the Holy Spirit.
