Women's Spring Retreat
From Worrier to Warrior
led by Dr. Sheryl Vasso
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7
Who of us has not experienced serious concern, okay admit it, WORRY, over life’s circumstances, real or imagined? Living a life as a WORRIER requires far more effort than living as a WARRIOR. While it may seem impossible to lay aside the burden of worry, there are biblical and practical ways to “be anxious for nothing” and learn to rest in God’s sovereignty.
Our guest speaker, Dr. Sheryl Vasso, is no stranger to the women of LPC; past visits include our One Day Retreat in 2015. Sheryl is a member of Grace Point church where she leads Bible study, a professor at Cairn University, and founder of Words of Worth, Inc. She invites everyone to share in her blog at www.wordsofworth.com/blog. She does all this with humility, energy, encouragement and a witty sense of humor. Sheryl’s work has enabled her to travel the world, yet she always returns home to Bucks County, where she has lived her entire life. She firmly believes, “In addition to God’s Word, chocolate solves most any problem in life!”
Treat yourself to a weekend of renewal, fellowship, fun and discovery.
